My strength! Published by VaaiVaa

My strength comes from working with other alcoholics. When I am trying to help a new prospect with the program, I am building up my own strength at the same time. I see the other person in the condition I might be in myself and it makes my resolve to stay sober stronger than ever. Often, I help myself more than other person, but if I do succeed in helping the prospect to get sober, I am stronger from the experience of having helped another person.
My strength comes from honestly telling my own experience with drinking. In religion, they call it confession. I call it witnessing or sharing. I give a personal witness, I share my past experiences, the troubles I got into, the hospitals, the break-up of my home(relatives), the money wasted, the debts, and all the foolish things I did when I were drinking. This personal witness lets out the things I had kept hidden, brings them out into the open, and I find release and strength.
I pray that with strength from God I may lead an abundant life. I pray that I may lead a life of victory.

  2. Vaaivaa,
To me the greatest challenge is confession. Your mistakes are forgiven. However, the cycle of confession and action should not repeat more than twice( I hope so).

Keep it up the strength (confession).

  3. Hey Viaaviaa

Yet another honest out pour. Your expression is too genuine and yet simple. You make the writing look easy.

Hmm learning through close scrutiny and experiencing it through yet another client (?) that’s just great .I wonder how many of us learn it this way. It is a lesson indeed. Well VaaiVaa all are not born with silver spoons .Each has our side of story and our shares of hardship. I reckon it is those people who had been seasoned in life who makes the greatest person. Should I say a true human? So you must be.
    Cheers and keep writing.
